There is really no words to describe how much this podcast means to me. I look forward to it every week and it really sets the tone for my creative work. I love Andy's honesty, silly humor, and authenticness that he brings every week. It's insightful with real tips that you can apply to your creative life and its also therapeutic to know that as illustrators, we're not alone in how we feel and view the world. If you are pursuing a creative life for a living then there is no doubt you need to be listening to this podcast.

I am so grateful for this podcast as a recently graduated illustrator who is feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed. Andy does such an incredible job at giving encouragement and advice. His words are so motivating and inspiring, and also just super comforting and relatable! The thing I love most about this podcast is that Andy is so genuine about both the ups and downs of a creative career. I’ve listened to great interviews with artists talk about their past trials, but as Andy himself has said, it’s hard to relate because at that point they are finished with that struggle, and are at a totally different stage than me. Andy keeps it so real, and truly remembers the different stages of his own path and reminds the listener that he understands and relates. He is open about his own ongoing struggles too. It is so unbelievably refreshing to me. Andy is also the wizard of analogies and I freaking love it! He makes things click and it’s just brilliant and super fun. This podcast always makes me laugh and gets me so excited to make new things and be the best creator I can be! Basically, I can’t express enough how much I adore this podcast. Thank you so, so much Andy!!!

I cannot stop listening. I am in love. I'm so grateful that this exists! I find it so hard for creatives to explain what they do and how they do it cause there really aren't any rules. I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts geared towards creatives, but this one is my favorite. Andy is effin pumped 100% of the time, which I will admit was enhanced by my inadvertent speeding up of the podcast (I thought the dude was gonna shoot off into the stratosphere). The content speaks to me because it’s a beautiful mix of uncompromised creative spirit and proven methodology. Fantastic stuff.

I came across this podcast when I was browsing on Kickstarter and found the workbook Andy is promoting at the moment. Coincidentally, I was browsing for inspiration for what I now know is called a Side Quest. I’m five years into my creative career and looking back to how I started getting graphic design work, I find it’s through a side quest I did. I started making a small zine, which later grew out to be more of a limited edition indie mag and even got a award at some point. BUT: because I made that zine, a writer came to me and asked me to do his book design. And after that a music festival approached me to do a zine for their programming. Two years later they asked me to do their entire branding. And so on and so fort. This idea is totally legit and I would recommend anyone who is just starting out or having somewhat of a creative entrepreneurial block to visit or revisit the tactics talked about in this podcast. As a creative person who's just trying to make it in a really tough industry, I need the encouragement and tough love that Creative Pep Talk offers. Listen for metaphors about pizza, Legend of Zelda, business, stand up comedy, childbirth, and more. Sometimes the podcast goes all over the place on crazy tangents, but if you have an ADD creative personality, you'll be able to follow right along (and will probably enjoy it even more). There's a great mix of aspirational musings on what it means to be a creative, plus concrete advice on how to get your work out in the open and build a business around it.

I do not have words to express how grateful I am to have come across this podcast. Listening to episodes from 2016 that are so groundbreaking for my mindset as a creative person! Amazing wisdom and advice from a genuinely kind and self-motivated artist! Awesome work! Can't wait to hear more!

When Andy J. Pizza speaks I feel like I'm listening to my inner goober soul. I mean goober in the most sincere awesome way. His podcast gives me so much inspiration to start doing creative things again with art and being creative with my kids and just doing more awesomeness.

Creative Pep Talk has become my go-to source for truly understanding myself and evaluating the challenges of living a creative life. I tend to communicate with humor and I love to laugh, so Andy's down to earth attitude and positive outlook are invigorating to me. He is able to articulate feelings I have been having in a way that I have not been able to communicate myself. Sometimes I will listen to one of these podcasts and just forward the link to my spouse and my friends and say "hey, listen to this! This is what I was trying to say the other day, but it came out all wrong when I said it." Another great thing about Andy is that he is okay with imperfection and focuses more on growth and discovery. This is what I need. The other podcasts I have tried to listen to about creative careers have really stressed me out. I'd finish listening and feel terrible about all the things I'm not doing or doing well. Andy's podcast helps me work through a lot of feelings and struggles that are really important to me at this stage in my career. When I'm done listening I feel like I can do anything. Thanks, Andy!

Andy is a great motivator and has some seriously wonderful creative business tips to help make anyone's creative dreams come true. He is very real and unapologetically authentic to who he is.
