This podcast has changed me and has made me a stronger creator. Whenever I’m feeling down about my creative career, this podcast recenters me. Andy has made me cry and laugh multiple times in the same podcast. I feel like this podcast opens my heart more. I’m new to the illustration world + his podcasts provide essential straight forward actionable advice that is inspired + inspiring. Plus, Andy’s energy, wit + storytelling is fantastic! SO much heart + wisdom! HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

This is hands down my favorite creative podcast/resource of all time! It is the perfect combination of both creative and strategy/business advice. Andy nails it evey time. He does a great job of thinking about what creatives need to hear and pointing them in the right direction. He gives really solid advice that is easy to implement right away in your practice. Keep up the amazing work Andy (and Sophie)!

I have been a listener since about episode 50 and I still look forward to every new episode. I started listening for creative inspiration and a good laugh. I have not been disappointed. I learn something from every episode and no other podcast makes me laugh so much. This podcast is freakin' great. Andy covers all kinds of creative snafoos from existential to practical and usually in a goofy voice. Great if you've been trying to level up but don't know where to start. I'm so glad this exists and you probably will be too!

LUV this podcast! Andy is like the good design angel on your shoulder telling you all the things you need to hear. Great guests with insightful advice and real stories. I luv his ability to be transparent and silly while being relevant. Being true to yourself is the most important factor for me and he does this 100% of the time. THANK YOU Andy!!

I look forward to every new episode and truly savor each one. Andy is encouraging and motivating even when he’s letting us in on his darker side. I laugh, I cry, it’s a truly moving podcast with solid advice and a great attitude. I love the interviews but the episodes with just Andy trying to teach us important things about ourselves are my faves. Plus he’s so thoughtful, open minded, funny, and very obviously kind. Lord knows creative people can use that kindness. It’s taken me a long time to prioritize art-making in my life. I was terrified that I would be stuck in a career I was really starting to hate. I love Andy J Pizza and Creative Pep Talk, and I’m not one to throw around the L-word lightly. Andy brings so much insight to the creative process, whether you’re a fine artist, designer, writer, illustrator, or even a research scientist (yes, science is a very creative endeavor, speaking as a researcher myself), you’re pretty much guaranteed to walk away with ideas for how to better access, harness, and bring forth your creativity. The podcasts are also a lot of fun to listen to, as Andy is a very quirky and funny guy, making the process of receiving his wisdom that much easier and more enjoyable; I’m pretty much oscillating between “aha” moments and lol’ing most episodes. Can’t recommend this podcast highly enough! Thanks Andy!

I just listened to one episode and I’ve got to go back and listen with pen and paper in hand, there were so many gems of wisdom that Andy dropped. The episode was more than an hour long and during that time Andy was weird, nerdy, referenced pop culture but also got real, raw and vulnerable at times. This is a must listen if you have a creative business and things don’t feel shiny and new anymore

One of the best podcasts!! If you’re a creative and you’re so lost with your career, this is the podcast to listen to. Started listening to this because I feel so lost and uninspired lately, and this podcast helps me look at things in a different perspective. :)

I’m not exaggerating when I say that Creative Pep Talk changed my life. I started listening to CPT a couple years ago because I wanted to make money from my art. The podcast helped me do that but along the way I learned something even more important, the true value of my work. For years I made art primarily as a way to help myself but this podcast showed me that my work could actually help others. I shifted my mindset from seeing art as a selfish activity to a generous activity and I immediately saw the difference. In 5 months I got 15,000 new followers on Instagram but more importantly I saw the positive effect my art could have on others. This has been the most profound realization of my creative career and this podcast helped me get there. Andy helped me uncover my artistic voice, connect with my audience, and find the deeper value in my work. I can’t recommend this podcast highly enough. Andy is full of great advice, honesty, and motivation that makes every episode a delight to listen to and absolutely peps me up. His advice is accessible and actionable and that makes it all the better. Definitely my favourite motivational podcast, and I recommend it to everyone! Whether you consider yourself a creative or not, this podcast is an excellent listen.

I recommend this podcast to absolutely everyone as often as I can - mostly other creatives but I also think it's a great motivator and mood-booster for folks in a variety of livelihoods and industries. Finding this podcast and becoming an avid listener has had a large impact on my creative career, and has absolutely help buoy my feelings and attitudes about my work. The creative pep talk podcast has changed my life!! I don’t know where my career would be without it! I started off freelance illustrating as a side job, not knowing the potential that this could actually be a real career for me.
