Take a Bite of That Sandwich!
...if that makes no sense to you, just give this podcast a listen and you’ll understand profound, hard-hitting lessons in fun, quirky wordustrations. I look forward to this podcast every single week, and Andy has truly helped me move on from dreaming about what my painting career might someday taste like to me actually getting up off my seat and slathering tasty paint on that canvasbread!! (Ok, this is why I paint and don’t try to verbalize fun metaphors ;~) Thanks for all you do, Andy!!

This is the best resource I've found for navigating creative careers. Thank you so much Andy for your work. I feel seen and understood and we've never met!
Practical career advice for half crazy art people
Actual exercises and methods you can use to get more serious about a career in the arts. Breaks down business for people who couldn’t care less about climbing the corporate ladder but know you gotta make money to keep making art. Dude’s got a good soul
Practical visionary- actually not an oxymoron
Andy delivers practical gold to creative neurons, making them fire in a way that creates order for ideas to work in a way that gets exchanged for cash. If I would have had this podcast 20 years ago, I would have had a voice telling me why the arts aren’t a pipe dream and I could have flipped the bird to my grandmother and her type-a mainstream thinking.
I’m So Glad I Found This Podcast
Andy’s pep talks led to me to starting my own podcast over a year ago and I haven’t looked back since. Thanks for the constant encouragement!
Funny and inspiring!
I love how Andy provides practical tips while being funny and vulnerable. Quality content!
Literally one of the best podcasts for creatives.
I’ve been listening Creative Pep Talk for almost three years now. I love it. As an in-house creative, my motivation can sometimes just plummet. CPT has been a source of inspiration and really is such a great pep talk. Somehow, whenever I’m in a funk, Andy releases a new episode that talks about the exact issues I’m struggling with. He’s charismatic, witty, and extremely empathetic. I go back and listened to specific episodes over just to really get his message to sink in. You can tell he truly cares about the messages he conveys, and I really enjoy his insights and the research he does on creativity and motivation. My favorite series of episodes has to be on the Creative Side Quests (and not just because of his Legend of Zelda references). Andy is just super genuine and wants to help, and I honestly feel like his Creative Pep Talks are incredibly helpful. If you’re looking for motivation, this is the podcast for you!
keeps me PEPPED
Thank you Andy, for all the inspiration!! Your dose of weirdness is wonderful, and the advice is infinitely valuable.
Absolutely amazing and unique podcast
I started listening to this podcast a little over a month ago and I just can’t thank Andy enough for creating it. It has made such a positive impact on my life already. I’ve gained more courage, confidence, and motivation to do more creative work and now I’m in better place than I was a month ago! I will continue looking forward to Andy’s sincere and powerful words of encouragement every week!
Inspiring
Andy is great. Keep it up. Love listening and getting inspired.
My absolute favorite!
This podcast is entertaining, informing and eye-opening for creative people. Andy’s humor lights up my day any day!
informative but over the top
Andy really provides a lot of good info and advice but his “radio” personality can be too much some times, which is no fault of his own, just something that can be sometimes off putting.
A good podcast to listen to while painting
I've been a listener for a while now and a lot of the content of this podcast resonates with me, especially when Andy J Miller just spills his heart out and does episodes of him just talking. He makes a lot of good points. What made me knock off a star is that with a lot of the interview episodes, a lot of times he talks over the guest speakers and that just creates a very unpleasant listening experience. Other than that its a good show.
Andy has good taste and intuition!
What a gem! I'm so glad I was pointed to this podcast by creative friends! "It really is a pep talk!" they said. "He's funny and helpful and you'll love it," they said. The episode on taste and intution came just when I most needed the confidence building Andy's insight offered. That's what a pep talk is supposed to do! I'm grateful and encouraged. Thank you!
so thankful
i found this podcast at the most perfect time of my life. it has been a source of positivity and inspiration, and a perfect way to start my morning to keep me focused on my artistic and professional goals. i have recommend this podcasts to a number of my friends, and i hope others find it as motivating as i have. i’m so grateful to have found it. :)
Head over heels for this podcast !!
I started listening only a month ago and I haven’t listened to anything else... Andy is full of wisdom and hilarity, and I have already learnt so much. Excited to keep listening and having him guide me on my journey of discovery !! THANKS ANDY (you’re an inspiration) x
Love It
Found this show on a whim and I absolutely love the content. Andy is such a quirky guy and it warms my soul to hear great advice from someone with a similar mindset. For those mentioning the tangents, that’s sort of what I like about the show. It breaks away from the typical bombardment of info that’s become present in a lot of podcasts as of late. It helps to drift a bit, lol. Not to mention, I believe the host has ADHD — and is very upfront about it within the show — so I’d assume tangents come with the territory. Regardless, the show is very insightful and motivating. I’m so glad to have found it. Keep doing what you do, sir!
Best podcast for creatives
I’m currently a 3rd year visual arts and graphic design student, and Andy’s podcast has played an integral part in my personal creative development, providing in-depth concepts, ideas, self exploration techniques and much more. I take notes and engage in his exercises as they are productive actionable steps to enhance my creative potential. Couldn’t recommend more!
Gone off the deep end!
I used to love this show but lately it’s become SO quirky and weird that the content gets lost completely! Sorry Andy, I can’t keep up with the tangents. Rein it in a bit please!
I’ve made non creatives listen to this podcast
And they still liked it. It’s hard not to get pumped up when Andy starts talking real effective strategies and then mixes them with great analogies. I’ve used a lot of what he’s taught on the show and am starting my dream job next week (kill the arrival tho, we have much to learn still). Ugh, but then the interviews, Andy is able to pull some great wisdom from the creatives/entrepreneurs he has on the show. I have relistened to quite a few to get all the “nuggets” of wisdom.
So share worthy!
I love this podcast, I share it with all my creative friends. Andy always tells the most insightful stories, gives advice I can follow, and keeps me motivated towards my artistic career goals! Thank you Andy!
Yassss!
I found this podcast in my first year of creative self employment. It helps me so much when I feel stuck or unsure of what to do next. Put some pep in your life people! You won’t regret it.
Amazing
I just found this and it’s already changing my life. Thank you for this thoughtful and entertaining look at art, business, & life.
Love it!!
