Post-election ep. 109 inspired me to review

Incredible content!

It's an absolute pleasure to listen to the Creative Pep Talk with Andy J. Miller. It has become a part of my routine while I work. Topics covered are so useful to anyone striving for a successful creative career. GOLD! A must listen.

Wow, Andy J Pizza. I really can't say enough about how helpful this podcast has been for me in growning my confidence as an illustrator. There are so many moments I have literally paused the podcast to go write down some amazing golden nugget of wisdom. The conversations are a breathe of fresh air in what can sometimes be a stifling climate as a person trying to work creatively. Andy and his guests, debunk a lot of myths surrounding what it means to work as a creative and make a living!! They get really practical and down to earth which is so refreshing. Not only is this podcast hilarious and entertaining, but it is super real, heartfelt and relatable. Andy speaks from a place of real authenticity which I think is key as a creative person. Also, his guests come from all different arenas of creative vocations which just helps you realize you're not the only person in the world, trapped in your basement, experiencing these same creative struggles. You walk away feeling SUPER pepped up, ready to make awesome work and you feel somehow connected to a bigger creative community. Honestly, since listening to this, my work has really reached a new level and I've been braver about sharing and finding a voice. I've been stuck in a three year- post grad- artist rut and thanks to CPT I've been able to unearth some creative gold! Keep going!

That quality alone lets you know you can trust him, because only genuinely authentic people have that quality. His advice, intuition, and passion are everything you need to stay focused and motivated on the path to being a creative professional.

Refreshingly genuine and self-aware

Andy's approach to a design podcast is honest, kind and welcoming. I knew he was a keeper when he mentioned Elizabeth Gilbert and Brene Brown in the same show. He handles the sensitive topics of anxiety, success, and growth with grace and humor that I haven't heard with other designer podcasts. I could not recommend his podcast more.

A must for anyone doing creative work

This podcast is my weekly anti-cinicism medicine. I highly recommend it to anyone doing creative work, whether for a company or independently. We all struggle with the same issues of self-doubt, anxiety, etc., and the way Andy addresses each issue with complete honesty and transparency is truly inspiring. Ditto for his guests. He really has built a fountain of motivation with his podcast. Thank you Andy <3

Continually putting the PEP in my step!

Andy's vulerable and honest look into the everyday problems we face as creatives is refreshing. His ability to tackle the sticky topics and deliver solutions/support is second to none. Andy is one of the most selfless people I know and his dedication to teaching shows through in how he prepares and delivers his message in every podcast. I can't even begin to express the value I gained from listening to Creative Pep Talk.

Great work.

I love this podcast. I have found artmaking to be a really lonely pursuit at times, especially after moving away from my group of artist friends. It's been really hard to suddenly lose the kinship I found with them, and to try to generate all my own ideas in what feels like a vacuum. It's been awesome to know I can listen to this podcast and get a little boost of creative energy. Andy gets a variety of people on the podcast and when he's alone, he's super thoughtful and insightful about creativity. Love his work and love the work of the guests. This podcast has made me re-think parts of my process and has improved my work.

I heart this show!

Such great, high quality and VALIDATING content from Andy. The guest artists are great and are diverse in their practice, the convos are always interesting. Andy is so brilliant at coming up with memorable metaphors that really give you those “ah-ha” moments to shape your thinking. KEEP IT UP!!!!! <3

Creative Mornings Veteran

I second all the other 5 star reviews. It is no surprise that Andy recently spoke at a Creative Mornings event. His podcast is brilliant- I have listened to every episode. "Creative Pep Talk" is a spot on title for the nature of his content and enthusiasm for the subject. His guests are also excellent.

Listen to the amazing type of info that only comes with putting yourself out there and being lucky to find the opportunities involved! Get into it, then go out and get it! Creative Pep Talk is a must for any creative, whether you're starting out or a seasoned professional. Andy hits all the important topics, from self-doubt to promotion, to collaboration—all the topics artists care about. Andy's wealth of insight always comes with a dose of humility and a great sense of humor, laced with hilarious 80s and 90s pop culture references. If you're in a creative field or want to be, I can't recommend this enough.
