Andy’s podcast helped me get through a boring desk job, the subsequent layoff, and then inspired me to return to my first love of drawing. I love the constant metaphors and the Hero’s Journey allegory. The guest artists he invites to join him are top-notch and filled with lots of useful and insightful tips and tricks to get my creative juices flowing. If you’re at all creatively-inclined, you NEED to check it out!

Wait, no, it’s Creative Pep Talk!! But one of my favorite things about Andy and this podcast is that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. One day he introduced it as the Chicken Pot Pie Podcast just to be goofy, and that stuck with me. He has a lighthearted approach, while at the same time being super pumped up about helping YOU on your journey. You know, that artsy thing that you do on the side for fun that people keep telling you you should try and sell? This is what Andy wants to help you to do. He gives great advice on creative ways to brand & promote your work; get out of a creative rut; how to find your super fans; and how to stay sane and take care of yourself mentally & emotionally. Besides being extremely goofy, he also brings out all the feelings and yes, he has been known to cry on the show. But only because he’s so passionate about helping you! Give it a listen if you need a pep talk. And then GO MAKE SOMETHING

This podcast will add both pep to your step and pep to the pizza of your soul. Andy is real, relatable, and a gifted communicator/storyteller. I recommend this podcast to all my creative friends. It’s a gem. Thanks, Andy!!

Since I‘ve been listening to Andy‘s Podcast my Life has changed so much for the better! I find myself in the stories and in what he says somehow. It gives me drive and hope and it just simply feels likes coming home.. like someone gets you and gives you permission to finally do what you gotta do and show yourself! So much value and authenticity! He puts so much love in what he does and it shows! Thanks so much!!

I listen to this podcast every week, religiously! it contains ALL the required information to be a creative person and it’s delivered in the most friendly way :) brilliant neuro-diverse approaches too, which I really appreciate as someone with dyslexia.

Guys. This podcast so good. Like, change your life kinda good. Listening to CPT has changed the trajectory of my creative career in the best ways! In addition to having amazing guests on the show who are super inspiring and/or relatable, Andy’s storytelling and pep talks are the perfect blend of supportive, inspiring, motivating, and funny. Can’t recommend this podcast highly enough!!

Creative pep talk is one of my favorite podcasts. It gave me hope again after burning out my senior year of college and working at jobs I don’t feel passion for. Andy’s vibe will just make you feel better with his positivity. I think the most valuable aspects are that he gives you things you can work on and think about for your creative career path and listening to other creatives talk about theirs. Give it a shot and give your self some PEP!

Some of the conversations on this podcast have really made me realize important things about my life & how I can realistically pursue my creative dreams. This podcast is great for all people no matter which stage of their creative journey they’re in. There’s something for everyone!

It’s about time I write down some compliments about Andy and CPT. After a whirlwind of tough years I almost had given up on myself. At the beginning of this year I decided I’d give myself a new chance. Andy and CPT have been a large influence in helping to keep me going and to help me shift my old ways of thinking into a new mindset of staying active and figure out how to approach obstacles and turn them into oppertunities. There’s stil a long way to go but I’m really grateful how CPT has helped me to where I am right now. Andy is open, honest, realistic, and know’s what your going through. He has a very heartfelt way of sharing his own knowledge and experience. Thank you Andy!

Just listened to the interview with Jamie Drake as I painted in my studio...another heartfelt learning and sharing journey from a beautiful soul! I am 73 years old, a retired high school art teacher, painter, and lover of all things that advance the human condition. I first heard you on The Savvy Painter podcast and decided I needed to listen and subscribe to the Creative Pep Talk, because...who doesn’t need a creative pep talk on a regular basis!? I am not looking to advance my career or even start one, but I do thoroughly enjoy the interviews, the deep dives into the psyche of artists, the encouragements, the sharing of personal journeys, ideas, insecurities, and fresh takes on the business of art in these times. I love that there are episodes for every phase of the creative process. There are messages to get you motivated, help you discover your voice, evolve, refine, and grow, etc. But I think what I appreciate the most is the encouragement and reassurance during this particular era of humanity. I just listened to episode 272 and it helped me feel more optimistic about the situation. Thank you!

Listening to Andy’s podcasts feels like sitting in a room with other people who finally “get” me. All of the things I thought were reasons I’m not where I want to be yet on my creative journey or quirks that have always made me feel different from others have been dragged out, one by one, and examined in a new light which finally makes sense. And (surprise) I’m not alone, not by far. I’m just an artist. Andy has helped me understand myself as an emerging artist, accept where I am on my personal journey and feel inspired to keep going, again and again. Thank you!

Andy has such a way to be personable and make you feel like you’re in the room with him. He is talking to you personally and give himself the same pep talk. It makes you feel empowered about your art and make you understand it takes a lot of work.. but it’s worth it. ❤️ Thank you so much Andy.

She suggested I share my enthusiasm here (always paying it forward, that one). So here’s my text!“Yeah, so far it's been SO valuable! I dunno how it morphs over time but so far it's just bombshells. It's the way I feel when I've just been talking with someone about creative plans, you know? When you're so lit up you go home and write a whole song or film or whatever and don't eat and it's 11pm all of a sudden lol. I love that feeling.”
