I honestly don’t even know how to put it into words how I feel about this podcast. I’ve always been an aspiring illustrator and designer. After graduating from college during the pandemic with my graphic design degree, I wasn’t able to find a job within my field and ended up working a 9-5 office job. I it was depressing because I missed being surrounded by other creative people and immersed in a creative environment. I found this podcast at the beginning of 2021 and while I sat at my work desk, I listened to every. Single. Episode. I felt like Andy was my life long friend. Each episode brought me back to live. I looked forward to hearing his pep talks everyday. I would leave work and go home to create something just to keep the spark he lit in me alive. He also speaks about mental health and his struggles with ADHD, which I relate to. This podcast truly helped me out of depression, it’s brought me to tears at times. I could go on and on, but ultimately you just have to listen for your self just to grasp how amazing this podcast is. Thank you Andy for showing up every week and giving us all something to look forward to. Thanks to you I’m beginning my own creative practice and starting to work on a kids book of my own. I can not express how grateful I am. Stay pepped up!

I look forward to the honesty, the creativity, the lessons and the sometimes silly analogies. This show helps you to keep thinking and remain inspired to continue with art.

Found this podcast about a month ago, because I’m a graphic designer myself and currently trying to make a career change from being in the insurance/retail space. I was looking for insight on the design field and how to be the best designer I can. I 👏🏻 AM 👏🏻 HOOOOOOOOKED 👏🏻 on this podcast! Loooove the playful energy, atmosphere, knowledge and empathy that Andy has for all of us creatives. You can tell he truly loves this field and wants to help us creatives as much as he can. I’m also learning about sooo many other amazing designers and their journey into this field. Each episode is so full of amazing content. So happy I found this podcast. I’m finishing up my last year of my undergrad for art education. I’m 30 and following my dream to be an art teacher. I feel like this podcast keeps me going and I love listening to them on my commute to school. He inspires me to pass on these ideas to my future students. As an introverted Brit, I do have to brace myself when I first hit play - but from the opening jingle I know Mr Pizza will shed light on some thorny creative roadblock. There’s depth too - Andy navigates the creative journey with real care and insight. A must have piece of pep that will leave you wiser.

I started listening to this show last winter. And it has been such. a. breath. of fresh air. I love Andy’s playful but also practical & deep approach to building a creative career. He gives so many concrete handles for specific things we can do to improve our practice, following, and work (no matter what discipline). I am a designer & illustrator and have felt pretty lost for a long time as to what direction to channel my efforts. And having him share some real things I can do to develop focus and clarity about where I’m trying to go as an artist is sooo helpful. He also has a huge variety of inspiring guests on the show and dives into each of their journeys toward creating great work. Andy asks thoughtful questions and gives the guest plenty of space to respond. Listen to this podcast, it holds lots of gems.

The pep is for real. Sometimes i’m listening with my eyes in stalks trying to keep up. Andy ‘Pizza’ is very good, you’re ready to move, take action, get it on at the end of any episode.

Creative Pep Talk is my favorite podcast in the history of podcasts, bar none. Andy J Pizza is in it for the greater good of all creatives everywhere.

Andy is insightful and funny and I always come away with new things to think about. My favorite podcast.

A top-notch storyteller, a hilarious comedian, and a creative genius walk into a bar… surprise! Andy J. Pizza is all of them, and the more you listen to this podcast, the more he’ll become something of a mentor to you, too (he has for me, at least). Embracing his neurodiversity, authentically taking the “road less traveled” in his creativity career, and putting his heart, soul, and unique mindset 110% into pepping up creative folks from all walks of life, Andy is a gift to the creative world. Andy somehow manages to motivate me and lift me up when I’m in the middle of a creative rut! Idk how he does it EVERY WEEK but it’s awesome. Every time I think I KINDA already know about the topic, he always manages to elevate it and deliver it in the best way for my brain right in that moment. Thank you for this podcast!

I love this show. My favorite episode is the channeling one and different ways to channel for inspiration. I’m a picture thinker so I channel my drawings through pictures. I love how enthusiatic he is!

Can a podcaster with a name like Andy J Pizza offer anything of serious value? Yes, yes and yes! I don’t know how he can be so friendly, casual, implement his goofy humor *and* go so deep all at the same time. A lot of knowledge and insight is offered in a very entertaining manner.

Andy J. Pizza is the man, man. As a creative person with ADHD myself, it’s hard to put into words how this podcast has been a source of inspiration and connection. The content Andy delivers is relatable and also impactful to creative practice and life in general. In episodes with guests, I appreciate the intentionality of including diverse backgrounds (of all types of diversities - race, creative focus, neurodiversities, etc.). Every episode makes me laugh, helps me learn, and leaves me wanting to pass good vibes onto others through my work and life. Highly recommend this podcast to creative people looking for inspiration AND practical steps to move forward. Thank you to Andy and his team for the time, effort, and energy they give to create this incredible resource and put it out into the world!

Each time I listen, I’m invigorated and I have a new tip or a new angle I can use when approaching my creative practice whether it be in my writing, teaching or podcasting. This podcast is life-changing. Thank you!

I don’t think I can sufficiently express how much I love and am thankful for Andy and his podcast. I sometimes daydream about being interviewed after an artistic breakthrough, and getting to credit Andy for his deep insights and playful nature. I love the introspective arenas that Andy takes us to, and it’s the podcast I most look forward to in my feed. Some episodes are so classic, insightful, and distilling- that I’ve listened to them twice. He strikes a remarkable balance between digging deep into our personal philosophies and motivations, and the practical realities of being a working creative. Andy is an excellent human, and I love hearing his capital ‘V’, Voice, in my studio space.

As a young illustrator trying to get my feet on the ground and understand where my work belongs in the world, this podcast has absolutely changed my life and mindset. I cannot recommend it enough for people with a big imagination, heart and passion for what they do. Andy immerses you as the listener into amazing metaphors that are so beautiful and intuitive.
