223 - The Strategy I Used to Crush My 2018 Goal in 12 Weeks (Call the Midwife Series Pt 2)

For years my goal setting strategy was less like a business tactic and more like a time capsule. I'd write my goals on my phone and then forget about them until a year later when I was making new ones.

Upon seeing the previous years goals my reaction was "Oh yeah, I forgot I even wanted to do that... well that didn't happen..."

LAST YEAR THOUGH this changed! I took a different approach to goal setting and action planning that caused my yearlong goal to be accomplished in less than 12 weeks!

Tune in this week if you want to:
- Get clarity on what you really want
- Tactics for planning a strategic game plan
- An idea that may help you know if it's time to take a leap!

This is PART TWO of our CALL THE MIDWIFE... DR. PIZZA series!!

222 - How to GET SUPER PUMPED by Unearthing Your True Desire (Call the Midwife Series Pt 1)

Does your story feel stuck?

If you're feeling stuck it may be because you quit letting yourself dream. It may be because you're not really sure what your dream even is.

Stories only start because the main character wants something. It moves the plot forward, it calls the hero to action, it pushes them through conflict and obstacles.

And yet we often walk around day to day without any clear sense of desire. No wonder we feel apathetic and crushed by even the smallest things!

In this episode we talk about the power of tapping into your best truest desires and HOW to unearth them! These tactics switched on my creative fuel in a whole new way!

This is PART ONE of our CALL THE MIDWIFE... DR. PIZZA series!!

220 - 6 Tactics to Routinely Unlock Your Best Creative Self w/ Suzy Ultman PART 1

This two part conversation with my friend Suzy Ultman is sure to go down as one of our all time favorites in the Creative Pep Talk Podcast Hall of Fame!

It's no secret that I've been stressed out as of late, and that's part of the reason I reached out to my friend Suzy to be on the show. Suzy has this peaceful / intentional quality about her, and I invited her over to the studio to share her mental health secrets with us!

Not only is Suzy just a great person to be around, she has the double whammy of being an INCREDIBLY INSPIRING illustrator, story teller & product designer. Suzy's toys and books are so gorgeous that my wife and I have sprinkled them throughout our home and given them as gifts to our kids (and our kid's friends) on many occasions!

In this episode we have a long conversation about Suzy's methods for staying sane as an artist, her sister's passing from cancer, the right mindset to approach inspiration and much much more!

216 - The Thing That's Always Held You Back & The Scientific Way to Defeat It

The New Year is an exciting time but often the excitement is short lived. We have such high hopes for all the changes we're going to make, but most often our hopes are crushed by someone who's very hard to defeat: OURSELVES!

YES. The OLD YOU you want to leave behind is the number 1 thing standing in the way of the NEW YOU you'd like to become and if you try to repress this OLD YOU it just seems to get stronger!

So I guess we should all just give up right?

NO! You have so much untapped potential and there are a few principles that will help you unleash your BEST SELF from the confines of your OLD SELF.

In this episode I want to share what's helped me become a better version of myself and ultimately become the type of person that can build and wield a thriving creative career!
