FAQ

WHAT IS THE WORKLOAD?

I would plan to invest 3-5 hours every week for the full 16 week semester.

IF THIS SEMESTER ISN'T GOOD TIMING, WILL YOU CONTINUE TO OFFER THIS COURSE?

I'm currently planning on offering this course twice a year for the foreseeable future, however things do change and it may not continue into eternity! :)

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?

This class is meant to fit around working adults schedules. It's very flexible, and we work with the individuals to fit everything in. The first weeks we find time slots that seem to work for everyone.

On video lesson / assignment weeks, you are free to watch and complete assignment whenever you'd like.

As for video call weeks, we usually have one group in the morning and one in the evening (EST time zone). Usually everyone can fit within one of these groups. On the rare occasion that isn't the case, Andy has made individual phone calls.

On feedback weeks we also sometimes do one on one calls. We will discuss with you to find a time that fits your schedule.

AM I READY?

This class is intended for someone who has developed their craft as a creative to a professional level, but needs a breakthrough in how they understand their potential, position their work in the market and market themselves.

If you have developed your work, you feel you have the raw skills but are having trouble breaking through into the next level of your creative career, this class is for you!

The only true way to find out is to apply and see!

DO YOU ACCEPT STUDENTS OUTSIDE THE USA?

YES! We had 3 international students the first semester and it created a diverse and interesting environment for the entire class. Although these students weren't able to go to the in person meet-up, they all stated that they didn't feel like they'd missed anything essential to the class.

IF I DIDN'T GET PICKED LAST TIME, SHOULD I REAPPLY?

YES! I choose students with 3 main criteria:

  1. Are you ready for this course.
  2. Are you applying for the right reasons, meaning will you be getting what you're expecting.
  3. Do you fit as part of diverse selection within this group of students.

As all three of these things can change, do not hesitate to reapply! I only select 10 (although there are many more I want to have join us!)

HOW MUCH IS THE MFBA?

$300 each month for 4 months, a total of $1200. This course is comparable to auditing 1 class at an art school, but intended to be much more comprehensive and transformational.

-Hand-picked, small class size creates a close-knit community

-Personal attention and feedback from teacher and fellow students.
